King Penguin (Aptenodytes patagonica)

Habitat: Southern Seas
Status: Very rare
It is the second largest of penguins and the largest seen in Australia. They have adapted beautifully to the climatic and geographical conditions under which they dwell. They are sea-going birds, found only in the Southern Hemisphere, mainly in cool to extremely cold climates.
